India Horrific Gang Rape Sparks Protest and Change NYC Remains Rape Central

Outside the court, about 50 woman lawyers held a protest, demanding wholesale changes in the criminal justice system to ensure justice for women. "Punish the police, sensitize judiciary, eradicate rape," read one protester's sign.

NYC is rape central and women and males raped don't come forward.  Why?

I was violently assaulted and Det. John Vergona told me to stop blabbering.  He told me he did not care if I had 2 black eyes.  He told me if I did not drop assault charges he would arrest me but he wanted me to wait 4 days until Saturday to arrest me.  He told me he would arrest me using a complaint that was clearly false by my attacker and he would arrest her but I told internal affairs I do not believe he ever contacted Delita Hooks to arrest her.  

A corrupt cop that raped a woman -- do you think he might threaten her with false arrest.
